06/06  Fedele Joins Damon & Morey As Chief Operating Officer

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Damon &  Morey is pleased to announce that Anthony P. Fedele has been appointed as the firm’s Chief Operating Officer.  He will be responsible for all strategic and administrative aspects of firm.

Mr. Fedele’s background includes 25 years of experience in business operations and financial management.   Prior to joining Damon & Morey, he was employed as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer by M.J. Peterson Corp., one of the largest full-service real estate companies in Western New York.  He was responsible for the overall management of the organization’s accounting information and technology functions. 

Mr. Fedele was also employed by Goldome Bank in various financial management capacities from 1982 to 1989.  While there, he served as an officer of the bank.

Mr. Fedele received his B.S. in Accounting from Canisius College in 1977 and his New York State Certified Public Accountant License in 1981. 

Mr. Fedele is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.   He is a member and past president of the Canisius High School Alumni Board of Directors.

06/30/06  Damon & Morey Partner Flaherty Named To Second Term on the Attorney Grievance Committee

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Damon & Morey Partner Amy A. Flaherty was named to a second term on the Attorney Grievance Committee for Western New York's Eighth Judicial District.  The committee is responsible for investigating complaints against attorneys.

 

Ms. Flaherty is a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s Appellate Practice Group. Ms. Flaherty practices in the areas of products liability, medical malpractice, labor law, health care law, and personal injury litigation. She has experience litigating cases in both state and federal courts.

 

Ms. Flaherty has also prepared and successfully argued a large number of appeals in New York State’s appellate courts, including the Court of Appeals. These appeals encompass a wide range of issues, including general negligence, toxic torts, medical malpractice, and labor law.  Ms. Flaherty received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1988 and her J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1991.
