07/05/2005  Damon & Morey Attorney Mary Raymond Named As New Batavia Rotary Club President

BATAVIA, N.Y. – Damon & Morey attorney Mary Comeau Raymond was inducted as the President of the Batavia Rotary Club.  She is the second woman to serve as president in the organization’s 86 year history.

 

The Batavia Rotary Club gives more than $100,000 per year in the form of scholarships, sponsorships and donations to various organizations in the local community.   Ms. Raymond succeeds Gilbert Mulcahy as President. Her goals for the next year include expanding the business side of the club, upgrading the web site, and updating administrative procedures for better file management. 

 

Ms. Raymond is Special Counsel in Damon & Morey’s Business and Corporate Department, where belongs to the Health Care, FDA, and Medical Device & Pharmaceutical Practice Groups.   Ms. Raymond works with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations on corporate and regulatory compliance issues, billing and reimbursement issues, including Article 78 Medicaid Rate Appeals and Medicaid NAMI audits, as well as Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse investigations.  Her environmental practice includes matters related to the disposal of medical waste, CERCLA and Navigation Law litigation and environmental statutory and regulatory compliance. 

 

Ms. Raymond is a member of the Board of Directors for both the Genesee Chamber of Commerce and the United Memorial Medical Center Foundation.  She is also a frequent lecturer on health care issues.
