Damon & Morey LLP was named as a member of the New York Law Journal's
Top 100. Private law firms are ranked by the number of lawyers
in the largest New York state office.
Survey results were
compiled at the close of October 2006. At the time, Damon &

Virginia C. McEldowney
has been named as Vice President of the Healthcare Executive Forum of
Western New York, an independent, non-profit, professional membership
organization and affiliate of the American College of Healthcare
Executives.
Ms.
McEldowney is Special Counsel for Damon & Morey where she is a member
of the
Business and Corporate Department as
well as the firm’s
Health Care Group. Her practice is focused
on the areas of health law, corporate law, information technology, and
ERISA/employee health benefits. She represents hospitals, skilled
nursing facilities, physicians and other health care providers,
insurance brokers, third party administrators, municipal health plans
and not-for-profit organizations. She also counsels clients on patient
care issues, medical ethics, regulatory compliance, HIPAA privacy and
security, information technology issues, network formation and
governance, contracting, billing and reimbursement matters, as well as
claims appeals.
Prior to
joining Damon & Morey, she served as Deputy Counsel for Independent
Health Association and Vice President and General Counsel of North
AmeriCare.
Ms.
McEldowney is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the
New York State Bar Association, Bar Association of Erie County, and
the Western New York Chapter of the Women's Bar Association of the
State of New York.
