Widenor Are Authors For The Syracuse Law Review
BUFFALO, N.Y. - Damon & Morey
attorneys William F. Savino
and David S. Widenor are
authors of the Commercial Law Section of the Syracuse Law Review. With
a subscriber base of 27,000, this annual publication is a survey of
the developments and trends in New York State Law. It is commonly used
as a reference by both the bench and bar.
Written by commercial lawyers for
commercial lawyers, the article pays special attention to the possible
changes in commercial law from both a judicial and legislative
perspective. Thoroughly researched, the extensive article examines the
practical legal questions confronting lawyers today by looking both
instructively and critically at emerging federal and state commercial
cases.
For those wanting to keep apprized of
important commercial law developments, the article highlights
cutting-edge decisions involving transactions in goods, so-called
"dirty leases" under Article 2A, novel interpretations of revised
Article 9, enforceability of letters of credit as well as securities
covered under Article 8. As e-commerce increasingly influences and
changes how business is transacted, the article also addresses
developments in commercial terminology. Additionally, the article
offers insight into the likely enactments related to the proposed
changes to articles 3 and 4 of the UCC that were introduced in the New
York legislature.
This is their third year as
contributors.
