Biography
Christian J. Henrich is the Co-Chair of Damon Morey’s Business and Corporate Department and Chair of the firm’s Private Equity Practice Group. He has advised clients, ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies, in connection with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; private equity and debt financings; cyberlaw and e-commerce; condominium offerings; and Delaware corporate law. In addition, he has substantial experience with Search Funds and presently advises eleven such funds.
Along with numerous successful private placements and private equity investments, recent transactions Mr. Henrich has closed include:
- acquisition of a specialty insurance business in Staten Island;
- acquisition of an electronics e-tailer based in NYC;
- multiple investments in a fuel cell manufacturer; and
- acquisition of a Pittsburgh based IT management services company.
Mr. Henrich served as an infantry officer in the United States Army, resigning his commission as Captain in 2000. His appointments in the military included serving as a general’s aide to the Commander of the Joint Readiness Training Center and as the second-in-command of an Airborne Ranger Company.
He graduated, magna cum laude, in 1990 from Dartmouth College, where he was also elected to the Phi Beta Kappa society and was an All-American in rugby. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania. While attending Penn, he also earned a Masters in Business Administration from the Wharton School, where he was honored as a Palmer Scholar.
Mr. Henrich is admitted to practice in both New York and Delaware and is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Delaware Bar Association, the Bar Association of Erie County, and the Upstate Venture Association of New York.
In addition, Mr. Henrich coaches Little Loop football, is in charge of all “adventure” activities for Cub Scout Troop 219 and serves as a confirmation teacher for St. John's Lutheran Church in Orchard Park, NY.
