Ms. Rogers is a Partner at Damon & Morey
LLP, practicing in the firm’s Litigation
Department. She is a member of both the
Health Care and Nursing Home Defense
Practice Groups. Her primary areas of responsibility include the defense
of professional negligence claims against hospitals and physicians,
general negligence claims involving personal injury and property damage,
and workers’ compensation claims. She also advises and represents health
care and mental health care providers on patient treatment issues and
consent, confidentiality and HIPAA issues, responses to subpoenas and
requests for medical and mental health records and peer review records,
in addition to consulting on situations involving end-of-life decisions.
She is admitted to practice in New York State and Federal courts, and in
Pennsylvania State Courts. Before coming to Damon & Morey, Ms. Rogers
was an Assistant District Attorney in Erie County (Buffalo), New York,
and was responsible for prosecution of criminal cases.
Her professional memberships include the Erie County Bar Association,
the New York State Bar Association, Trial Lawyers of Western New York,
and the Defense Trial Lawyers Association of Western New York. She was a
member of the Board of Directors of the Bar Association of Erie County.
She has co-chaired and spoken at numerous seminars including those
sponsored by the New York State Bar Association. She has also lectured
to various groups on health care matters, HIPAA confidentiality and
medical malpractice. She served as Vice-President, Secretary and a
member of the Board of Directors of the State University of New York at
Buffalo Law Alumni Association.
