Ms. MacAdam is an Associate at Damon & Morey LLP, practicing in the
Health Care Practice Group. She
concentrates in the health care regulatory and compliance fields for
both for-profit and not-for-profit entities. Ms. MacAdam has counseled
hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, assisted
living facilities, hospices, emergency transportation providers, and
health care professionals.
Ms. MacAdam focuses on government licensure issues, including
certification, survey, and enforcement actions; corporate compliance and
fraud & abuse matters; health information privacy concerns, including
HIPAA and state law compliance; and reimbursement matters. She also
handles concerns of health care professionals, such as employment,
licensure, credentialing and discipline. Ms. MacAdam drafts and
negotiates contracts involving managed care, employment, affiliation,
and vendor relationships.
Ms. MacAdam is admitted to all courts in New York State and
Washington, D.C. as well as being admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court.
She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Monroe County Bar
Association, Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys, District
of Columbia Bar and the American Health Lawyers Association.
Actively involved in the community, Ms. MacAdam is a member of the
board for the Memorial Art Gallery, current Chair of its Ethics
Committee and member of its Buildings & Grounds Committee.
Ms. MacAdam received her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Columbia
College in 1990. She went on to receive her J.D. degree from the
Columbia University School of Law in 1993. While attending law school,
she was an administrative editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and
Social Problems as well as a staff member of the Columbia Journal of
Gender and Law.
Prior to joining Damon & Morey, Ms. MacAdam worked as an Associate at
Nixon Peabody LLP (Rochester, N.Y.) and Epstein, Becker and Green PC
(Washington, D.C.).
