Ms. Disare is a Partner at Damon & Morey LLP, practicing in the firm's Labor and
Employment Department.
Ms. Disare represents public and private
employers in connection with labor relations issues, representation
proceedings, labor arbitrations, collective bargaining negotiations,
wage and hour questions, employment discrimination, and employment at
will and related issues, including proceedings before NLRB, PERB, NYSDHR,
EEOC, Department of Health, OSHA, NYSDOL, WCB and federal and state
courts. Ms. Disare’s practice also involves immigration including
various immigrant and non-immigrant worker and immediate relative visas,
citizenship, and expatriation. In addition, she focuses on matters
involving group health and life insurance litigation including life,
health and disability benefit claims, agent commissions, and
interpleader matters.
Ms. Disare has lectured at seminars sponsored by the Cornell School of
Industrial and Labor Relations, the Society for Human Resource
Management, the Council on Education in Management, the Construction
Financial Management Association, the Medical Group Management
Association, the Erie County Bar Association Labor Law Committee, the
Lorman Business Institute, the National Business Institute, the Buffalo
Claims Association, the Rochester Claims Association, the New York State
Medical News, the Upstate New York Chapter of AILA, the Woman’s Bar
Association of the State of New York and Buffalo State Teacher’s
College. She has also been a featured guest on WNED’s Law Line program.
Topics on which she has recently spoken include the Americans With
Disabilities Act, Sexual Harassment in the Workplace, Legal Aspects of
Termination, Legal Aspects of Recruiting, Economic Strategies for
Collective Bargaining, Costing out a Collective Bargaining Agreement and
Terminating the Substance Abuser.
Ms. Disare is a member of the New York State, Erie County and Women's
Bar Associations. She formerly served as a Director of the Erie County
Bar Association and as the Chair of the Erie County Bar Association’s
Labor and Employment Law Committee. She recently served as the
Legislative Liaison on the Board of the Buffalo Niagara Human Resource
Association (local SHRM affiliate) and is currently on the Board of the
Volunteer Lawyers Project in Western New York. Additionally, Ms. Disare is currently listed as one of
